Shore power connection for the Corsica Linea ferries

Merchant Marine Electrical & Power Systems

The ferries "Méditerranée" and "Danielle Casanova" operated by Corsica Linea are now fitted with shore power connections, allowing auxiliary engines to be shut down at berth and reducing port emissions.

Proper operation of the installation was validated by Bureau Veritas, in compliance with applicable maritime standards (BV NR467 PartC, BV NR557, IEC 80005-1). Competing against major names in the sector, AMM won this demanding contract, from design through to commissioning.
